في هذين المقالين [1][2] تتحدث (بير) عن تجربتها في قطر.. فتصف استقبالها بالدافئ وتضيف بأنها شعرت بأنها مرحبه من قبل الجميع خاصة أيمن عزمي، المسؤول عن البطولة (أتمنى أنه رحل عن قطر) حيث ذهبت للعشاء في مطعم مغربي معه ومع ابنته!

ويتحدث عزمي عن عدم وجود أي معارضة لتلك الخطوة التي اتخذها الاتحاد القطري للتنس.. ولكن نعده بأن الأمور تغيرت.. فانتهاكات إسرائيل تزيد باليوم.. والوضع الإنساني والموقف السياسي للشعب الفلسطيني ضعيف ويثبت لنا عدم احترام الكيان الصهيوني لمبدأ السلام... وقبل أن أنسى، تضيف (بير) بأنها تفضل لعب التنس ولكن ان كان مجيئها يساهم سياسياً (بتحسين موقف إسرائيل في المنطقة) فهي سعيدة لتقديم تلك المساعدة ..ناسيه موقفها السابق بعدم خلط السياسة مع الرياضة!

"I have been received with a lot of warmth by people in Doha," she said. "I have been made to feel welcome by everybody I have come across so far."
This warmth seems to come mainly from an Ayman Azmy, tournament director, who invited her for dinner with his daughter (I hope this guy is gone by now)!
Azmy also states that this step to invite Peer faced no opposition or resistance, but we would like to tell him things have changed now. Everyday Israel increases its offenses towards the Palestinian people weakening their humanitarian and political situation. These violations Israel commit are clear evidence of its lack of commitment towards any peace..

One more thing.. Peer stated that while she prefers playing tennis, if her playing in Qatar helps in politics than she is more than happy to promote Israel in the Arab world .. whatever happened to her position of not mixing politics with sports??
